Lions overpower North Middlesex

A comfortable win last night

A strong performance from the 8 man u10 lions on Wed night against North Middlesex. With the bat, Seb as usual brutal off his pads, starting with 3 fours in 4 balls, Alexander brutal everywhere, and Amar elegant also reaching 20. Pleasingly, we didn't lose too many wickets - with players in the side able to hit boundaries, it's easy to get a good score if you don't get out to the good balls and don't get run out. Our total was 79, with 9 outs.
In the field, we bowled very well. Tight bowling all the way, and Amar Ali's first over pretty much sealed the match - the batsmen's eyes lit up as he tossed the ball up, and he took 3 wickets in 3 balls to complete a hattrick. Zach B did an amazing job behind the stumps, with no assistance due to our reduced number of players, he was the only man behind the stumps and took nearly everything cleanly. Plus a couple of stumpings, catches, and a crazy run out when he fetched the ball from near the boundary and hit the stumps directly with his throw. N Middlesex finished with 31 also with 9 outs.
